Since 1990, the U.S. Takraw Association has run the Annual U.S. National Takraw Championships Tournament. Held every August in Los Angeles, California, the U.S. National Takraw Championships are open to any team of 3 players with U.S. citizenship. The team that wins this tournament along with the most valuable player from the other U.S. teams is sponsored to represent the United States at the World Takraw Championships held in Bangkok, Thailand.
